Local rivals Market Harborough cruised to victory at Kibworth in the premier division of the Everards League after bowling out the first team for just 81.
High-fliers Harborough decided to bat first, which looked a bad decision as they slumped to 20 for 4 after five overs after a devastating opening spell of bowling from Tom Driver.
Harvey Uppal (84) then joined Harveer Gandam (21) to stabilise the innings, adding 44 for the fifth wicket. Nic O’Donovan (17) helped Uppal put on 60 for the sixth wicket.
A further 67 was added with the assistance of Priyank Patel (29 not out) for the eighth wicket and Harborough reached a creditable total of 202 for 9 in their 50 overs.
Dan Broughton, Tom Burton, Ammeer Mahmood and Joe Cuthbert took the other wickets for Kibworth.
A hostile bowling spell of 20 overs from Kevin Innes (3 for 24) and skipper Chris Weir (2 for 23) reduced Kibworth to 54 for 5 when they replied.
The home side could not recover from this position as Gandam (5 for 18) cleaned up the later order batsmen as they collapsed to 81 all out. Only John Hanger (14) managed to reach double figures.
