Challenge Cup confusion

Leicester Ivanhoe will play Loughborough Town in the final of the Everards Challenge Cup.

A league meeting determined that should be the outcome after the semi-finals were hit by confusion.

Kibworth withdrew from their last-four clash when they realised they were about to inadvertently break a rule that the same player should not represent a first team and a second team in the same season’s competition.

Market Harborough beat Ivanhoe in the other semi-final only to discover they had inadvertently breached the same regulation. The final is at Harborough on August 21
