Under 11 match report

A consummate performance with bat and ball and an outstanding fielding display saw the boys to a comfortable victory over Stoughton CC on Friday 31st May

After a slow start, we were only 238 at the half way stage mostly from Seb's bat (22) but lusty blows from Jay (20) and Archie Hubbard (18) saw us to 86 at the end.

Tight bowling never allowed Stoughton to get away. Archie Gibbs on debut taking 3/2 I his 3 overs and Archie Hubbard's 2/4 were the bowling highlights.

But the fielding display was outstanding. If
3 stumpings from Seb wasn't enough, Ollie and Seb combined to execute two first class run outs.

A great pick up from Ollie followed by a throw straight into Seb's gloves brought us the first run out, and if that wasn't enough, they executed an identical run out shortly after.

Wickets fell regularly through the innings and pressure was maintained to the end with the boys winning comfortably by 102 runs.

My player of the match is Seb. Top scorer and brilliant behind the stumps.

Well done to everyone.

Our next match v Houghton is a must win. Unbeaten in the league so far, they pose the only credible opposition to the lads winning the league this year.

Result:

KCC U11A: 286/5
STCC: 184/15
