As the afternoon sun beat down at Kibworth on a glorious Sunday afternoon, Patel duly lost the toss for the third conscetive game! Lutterworth confidently elected to bat. The combination of Ed Wall and Jack Bellamy produced a tight opening spell of 6 overs for 9 runs, their top batsman sent back for 3 courtesy of a direct hit on the stumps by Jack Houlihan. The bowling continued to be tight in the main with Mahang producing a spell of 4 overs I wicket for 5 runs and Harry Pounds 4 overs 1 wicket for 11 runs.. Lutterworth duly finished on on 77 for 6 with the top scorer being extra’s on 32!
Kibworth began slowly but steadily pushed towards the modest target. Jack Houlihan and Mahang Patel retired on 25 and 27 respectively. A few jitters prevailed towards the fiinshing line but the side completed a comfortable victory with 16 balls to spare. Overall a great bowling and fielding performance which set the foundation for the victory.
Its Medbourne away next in the District Final.
