Under 11’s Land More Silverware!

A large crowd gathered at Fleckney Rd on Sunday morning for the final breakfast shift from messrs Lloyd and Jones, the final junior training of the season but mainly to cheer the Under 11’s on in their County Cup Final against Bharat Sports.

Batting first, Kibworth racked up a competitive 283/5 on the back of some impressive batting notably from Billy Tear and Olly WInder.

In response, a great opening spell from Archie Gibbs which saw him bag 3 wickets and a run out meant that Bharat were always on the back foot and he eventually finished with the outstanding figures of 4 for 4 off 3 overs!

Wickets continued to fall at regular intervals and there were a number of run outs which resulted from some excellent Kibworth fielding as Bharat finished their innings on 212/17 !

Congratulations to the team on a great performance who really seemed to thrive on the opportunity to play on the main pitch in front of a big crowd.

Freddie Bashford unfortunately shares his dad’s taste for natty head gear!
