Under 11’s win at Countesthorpe

Another good performance by the boys resulted in another convincing victory.
Great partnerships by all the boys gave us an unbeatable score of 314/2. Boundaries came from all the batting pairs. Tej’s great use of the feet almost resulted in a straight 6.
The Countesthorpe boys got off to a great start mantaining a good rate, but after that tight bowling and fielding kept them under 200 for most of the game, Tej took 5 catches and every bowler took a wicket and a couple of batters at the end saw them just creep over the 200 starting line.
This victory means we will play off for the SE League title at Houghton next Friday. We beat them in a pre-season friendly, but that’s no guarantee of another victory. All the boys can do now is play their best and we should so well.
