U13 Cup Semi Final v Narborough CC (30/8/15)

After losing the toss KCC were put into bat by NLCC, the plan was to t off to a positive start and post a good defendable score, 7 an over ( 140 total), and we set about our objective with great energy and maturity.

Just 5 batmen needed to do the job, finally reaching 139/1 off our allotted 20 overs, credit must go to NLCC as without their good accurate bowling the total would have been much higher.

With Seb, Ollie, Archie , Freddie and Zack all contributing well with healthy scores and partnerships we knew this would give us the very defendable target we wanted., and a buffer just in case things didn’t go to plan with ball.

We started well, it wasn’t long before we applied the pressure with plenty of dot balls and then the wickets soon came and NLCC struggled against our formidable bowling attack and found life difficult rotating strike or forming partnerships.

Again credit to the opposition for reaching a respectable 95 all out as our bowlers really turned it on for this game.

Good contributions from everyone with a fine display of catches and ground fielding to back up our bowling.

Thanks to NLCC for giving us an entertaining and engaging game of cricket.
