England Women at KCC

England Women at KCC

The England Womens squad were at KCC on Wednesday as they began their preparations for the forthcoming tour to the West Indies. They made full use of KCC facilities with a players meeting in the clubhouse, warm up on three grass wickets and then a full 40 over game featuring the top 22 ladies in English cricket. Highlights of the game were a classy 60 odd by Tammy Beaumont in the first innings and the England captain Heather Knight hitting 90 n.o. in the successful chase. In addition to Steve Pollard and the ground team showing off the deck to its best and Jan Ellwood and her catering team producing a fantastic lunch and evening meal we also had KCCs very own Dan Pedley umpiring the game. Overall a very successful day where KCC once again showed they can provide the best possible cricket facilities and a wonderful experience off the field. Thanks to all those involved – making KCC the best place to learn, play and watch cricket.
