Kibworth & Langtons Under 15’s Girl’s Team

Our U15 girls playing in a joint Langtons and Kibworth team has been entered in the new Loughborough Lightening league. With both clubs struggling to get a full team together, it was great to see both clubs come together to ensure the girls could play at the highest standard as possible.

Having narrowly lost the first game against Sielby, the girls took on Market Overton which combined 5 local Melton clubs.  The Langtons/Kibworth team batted first with Shivali retiring having scored 20 and great support from Ema and Victoria they were able to set Market Overton a testing target of 87 for the loss of 2 wickets from their 12 overs.

With the team starting to really gel the bowling attack shared the wickets amongst Maha, Ria, Victoria, Ema and Shivali which was backed up by some great fielding meant that Market Overton were restricted to 75 for 5 from their 20 overs.   Congratulations from us all on your first victory with what was an impressive performance from your short time together.
