3 out of 3 for the B's

Kiran and Jake help B's cruise to victory at Gilmorton
The Under 13 B's made the short journey to Gilmorton looking to keep their unbeaten start to the season going. Skipper Kiran Patel
lost the toss and Kibworth were invited to bat first on a very green and soft wicket. After a shaky start losing Jasper
for just one run a piece, Kiran
settled in nicely and started to build a solid platform. Both batsman reached the retirement score of 25 but after Oscar and Jamie added some quick runs and Manav was out for a first ball duck, the pair returned to crease to add some quick runs at the end the of the innings and lead Kibworth to 90 for 5 off their 20 overs.
In reply Gilmorton were very steady and though runs off the bat were very few and far between, the extras offered by the Kibworth bowlers meant the home side did not fall too far behind the run rate. However, any thought of an unlikely Gilmorton victory were soon put to bed by four tight overs from Jake
who bowled straight and fast and conceded just four runs from their short spell. So after 40 overs of really good cricket played in beautiful weather Kibworth came out on top winning by 20 runs.
Big thanks to Gilmorton for making us feel so welcome and to Neil Hammonds who stepped forward to score for the first time who was fantastically supported by the home teams scorer.
Next Sunday the Under 13 B's travel to Ratby where hopefully they can continue their excellent start to the season.
