In the same way that Uncle Albert would find a way to start a sentence off with “During the War,” I am sure most of you been on the receiving end of Pedro finding a way to shoehorn a mention of the 2004 season into almost any conversation.

In case there is anyone reading this who hasn’t had the misfortune of hearing this story, let Pedro fill you in.

Back in 2004, with the club were playing its penultimate season on the ground next door, the 1st team, captained by Mike Sutliff, won an iconic treble which was underlined by winning the National Knock-out at Lords on 7th September.

As a result of this being 20 years to the day the club would like to honour the occasion by inviting anyone involved with the team that year to KCC for a catch up and some reminiscing….and maybe a couple of drinks. We hope most of the players from the team that year will be there on the day, but the team wouldn’t have been able to achieve what they did if it wasn’t for the support from everyone else involved. Whether that was scoring, assisting on the ground, cheering the team on, or fetching Abbo’s beer for him! Everyone is welcome so please spread the word if you think there is someone who might want to be there that might not be reading this.

There may be some reading this who will be playing on the day or not even born 20 years ago who aren’t interested in hearing the old war stories. Don’t worry, we have something for you as well. After the day’s games are complete, we have Reverend Bowler booked so we can celebrate into the evening. So, we hope the players who have played away can make it back for that.
