I hope this message finds everyone in good health and looking forward to the summer ahead. I’ll try and keep this as brief and as relevant as possible, as I know we all get bombarded with long winded newsletters and updates these days!!

First of all it was great to see so many kids come along to Spring Training and ease themselves back into the swing of things. The last one will take place this Sunday (6th) and due to the dry weather will be held up at the cricket club which is a real bonus. As ever, massive thanks to all the Volunteers who have done a great job delivering the sessions.

Training – Tuesday 29th April – 6.15pm

Training – Monday 28th April – 6.15pm

U17s
Training – Thursday’s (with seniors)
Matches – Monday 5th May

As in the previous few summers, training will run in blocks of 4 weeks with a weeks break in between each block. All training dates should now be showing on Pitchero.

All-Stars

We are delighted to announce that All-Stars will be returning to Kibworth for the summer 2025 again lead by Lex Shaw for the 7th year!! All-Stars is a fantastic entry point for both boys and girls aged between 5-8 who are new to cricket. As a club we are now really feeling the benefit of the All Stars programme as our Junior Section goes from strength to strength.

Membership Subscription
Membership this summer will be £90 for Dynamos and £130 for the U11-U15s. Included in the membership this summer will be a Kibworth cap. We have split the payments into two with the first payment due by the end of April and the second payment due by mid June. As ever if the payment of membership is causing any financial issue please approach me in the strictest of confidence and we can discuss ways of ensuring your child can play cricket at Kibworth this summer.

Playing Shirts
We have now fully migrated into playing all Junior Cricket in coloured clothing. This consists of the green training top and black tracksuit bottoms. The link for the training shirt is below:

If anyone has any KCC playing or training shirts that are in good condition or any other kit that no longer fits /is not used that you are happy to donate can you let Alison Pedley know on 07834320971. We are hoping to re-home the kit amongst the Juniors who can make use of it and reduce costs /wastage.

Volunteering
As well as always looking for adults to volunteer their time to support the cricket club, we are always happy to have Junior Volunteers who might be doing their Duke of Edinburgh or need coaching experience for the course they might be studying. Over the last few years we have had some great kids volunteer their time to help support the coaching of the younger kids on Sunday morning. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like some more information.

Whatsapp Broadcast Group
The Broadcast group has proved a really good tool for getting out time critical information and also for general updates and details. If you are not on the group and would like to be, please message me (number at bottom) and I will add you to the group. For anyone to receive the messages my number must be stored in your contacts on your phone.
